THE WAITING ROOM
a dance film

.jpg)
The Waiting Room unfolds in a threshold, a place neither here nor there, where five women gather in uneasy alliance. Their bodies wear the outline and color of power—yet, it is synthetic, unstable, easily stripped away. In this space, dominance and surrender are traded like coins; weight and pressure are the only language.
The film is less a story than a reckoning: a meditation on autonomy slipping through grasp, on how women’s bodies are staged, surveilled, and subdued.
In The Waiting Room, the pause is never still—it is charged, taut, and dangerous. The women wait, but waiting itself becomes resistance, a choreography of survival inside a room that is no longer neutral.
