THE HOSPITABLE GHOST
multi-media installation
performance for camera, sound design, costume design, found object restoration, installation

"the hospitable ghost" was created in the summer of 2024 while in residency at Mudhouse Residency in Agios Ioannis, Crete, Greece. During our two-week residency, Justin Locklear and I dove into the stories that the village of Agios Ioannis whispered in our ears and created a mis-en-scène with found objects, repurposed fabrics, inspired embroideries, and a character who lead us through his dreams of the past into this future.

About the garment:
The cloak featured in the video was made from found vintage fabric in one of the ruins in the village.
We washed, cleaned, and restored the material to create the garment.
Material: Linen/Cotton Blend (assumption)
The marbling color is from age and natural dye from soil and wine (assumption based on location material was found in).
