GOLDEN APPARITION

Like seeing a mysterious, hazy vision outside the club at 4AM, "Golden Apparition" draws you in with dreamlike visuals, creating a momentary mythos.
Three gilded cowboys are born from breathy darkness, discovering their own story through glittery machismo and melodramatic interludes. The scene of three brown bodies, clamoring to scale walls, to elude their own capture, and to evolve into horses, gives audiences new folklore for younger generations of those resisting the inherited tall tales of the American West and the American present.
Shifting between dance, scene, and sculpture, Golden Apparition inhabits multiple roles as a performance and as a provocation of time and space.
